I am a detail oriented, goal-driven, conscientious business professional with enriched knowledge along with professional experience in Hotel Management, Hotel Operations Management, Event Hospitality Catering and Contract Catering. Therefore, I would be delighted to use my expertise and tenacity to expand and drive results in your organization. I was impressed, happy to experience and see the operating model of your organization in last December (2022) when I was there in Dubai.

I consider professionalism, critical thinking and effective communication when dealing with clients, suppliers, stakeholders and management as my strongest transferrable skills. Past years, I acquired a vast amount of mastery in Strategic planning, Strategy Implementation, Recruitment, Performance Appraisal, Gap analysis, Training and Development, Budget planning, Forecasting, Hotel Rebranding, Customer Care, Public Relations and managed to enhance essential soft skills which can be transferred to any profession.

Currently, I'm highly enthused and passionate about hospitality management and senior management job roles in the industry which kept enlarging my knowledge in particular areas and gained precious experience over the past  years. Moreover, I’ve excelled in managing, managers and employees and guiding them in order to succeed in all the departments adhering to recommended policies and guidelines building in to high performance teams. 

Back in 1995, I commenced higher studies and acquired an Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management - Specializing in Food and Beverage Management along with a Distinction. I had the privilege of graduating with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford, UK. 

Allow me to draw attention to the key accomplishments which I have navigated over my professional career.
Contributed at the capacity of Acting Food and Beverage Manager for the team which acquired Velidhu Island Resort in Republic of Maldives for John Keells Hotel Management Services Ltd Sri Lanka, which is the company’s first overseas venture. (1995)
Team Member as Room Service Manager Pre -Opening of Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa, United Arab Emirates. (1999)
Influenced and contributed to Al Maha Dessert Resort, United Arab Emirates to recognize among the Top 10 Leisure Hotels in the World by UK’s Conde Nast Traveller magazine, being the Dubai highest nomination in this category. (2000)
Pioneered as the Acting General Manager at Lodge Habarana Sri Lanka to refurbish and rebrand the hotel as ‘Cinnamon Lodge Habarana Sri Lanka’ which added to company’s premium brand of hotels. (2006/2007)
Administrated as the Resident Manager (General Manager) – Cinnamon Island Alidhoo Republic of Maldives and Guided and handed over the hotel to new investors during the sale of the 100-room 5* property. (2010)
