Donald Macaskill

As a professional within the care industry, I have experience in working in domestic and community settings.

I have undertook roles that have required problem solving and caring out care with a understanding and sensitive nature. 

Through my years in working within the care industry has allowed me to achieve an SVQ 2 in health and social care and I strive to work towards the next level.

Fully competent in the administration of medication and moving and handling processes.

I have undertook many levels of care including palliative care, Dementia as well as years of working with people with additional support needs including Autism and learning difficulties. This has allowed me to have a basic understanding of Makaton to communicate with individuals who are non verbal and require Makaton and ‘this’ and ‘then’ cards to demonstrate what's happening.
