I am 18 years old and just finished my sixth form education, eager to learn and adapt to the workplace. I have proficient communication skills, ensuring clarity and a sound professionalism in all customer interactions. I also have a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to handle multiple customer inquiries simultaneously. My time as a catering assistant forced me to remain calm in high pressure situations, such as an understaffed team in the kitchen during the busiest periods of the evening. As a detail-oriented person my skills would ensure that any store tasks I have been assigned to will be done with my full effort, time and to not be finished until I believe it is done to my full capability. To accompany this, I also have exceptional numeral skills, being able to do an array of calculations in my head bringing use in the workplace by being able to guarantee correct results when applying discounts or price changes.

Sodexo (At Wellington College)- General Catering Assistant- 18/07/2022 until the 30/06/2024

My work as a Catering Assistant at Wellington College helped me sharpen my tools in communication and taking initiative due to having to work under pressure, with no time for confusion or inactivity. Working as a catering assistant has equipped me with strong organizational and time management skills, as I coordinated food preparation and ensured timely service during busy events. I developed clear communication abilities through team collaboration and customer interaction, all while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Additionally, I was extensively trained by Sodexo in all realms of work I pursued whilst at the college such as in fire safety, chemical handling, allergen management, and heavy load lifting, further enhancing my ability to work efficiently whilst staying safe and deliver excellent service in any fast-paced environment. I have also had an enhanced DBS check as well as safeguarding training to ensure all students are kept safe on sight and how to spot unusual behaviour to prevent any harm.

I have recently finished studying A-Levels where I achieved an A grade in Maths, an A grade in Economics and a B grade in Law
