About Elena Cove:

With a Master's in Nutrition from Columbia University and a full diploma in food and wine from Leiths School of Food and Wine, my culinary journey spans across catering, restaurants, and my own food business. Creativity is at the heart of my culinary approach. Elevating good recipes to exceptional ones is my forte, often through innovative techniques and unique flavor combinations. My ability to enhance the communication of recipes is complemented by my experience in food photography and styling. I'd love to get involved with recipe and menu development, food product consultancy, food styling and lots more - anything in the food industry that gets me a bit hands on with food! 

Experience

Founder of Miza: 

  • Developed and produced a range of bold, versatile cooking sauces for home cooks to elevate everyday meals
  • Created and managed a unique brand identity from scratch, including design, social media, recipes, and weekly newsletters
  • Led sales, marketing, operations and managed all aspects of the business
  • Organised and ran a successful supper club series to market and showcase the usability of each sauce
  • Selected by and pitched to Holland & Barrett, competing against large manufacturers to develop a new range of sauces
  • Scouted by Erewhon to provide product samples

Head Chef and Kitchen Manager at Little Jungle, with Chef's in Schools:

  • Transformed the school’s menu, serving nutritionally balanced meals twice daily to over 100 children and 30 staff
  • Recruited and managed a new kitchen team encouraging creativity and a forward-thinking environment
  • Featured in the Observer Food Monthly Magazine

Executive Chef at Platter London: 

  • Created and styled platters for corporate clients and events
  • Developed a food-to-go range in a central London café
