Emily Jones

I am a psychology graduate, also achieving a masters in care delivery, with considerable caring experience having worked for many years in all care sectors. Experienced, detail-orientated care giver, qualified in enhancing the quality of lives of the elderly and most vulnerable. Committed to safe guarding, following tailored care planning and risk assessing throughout every task. I am an ambitious, confident and highly motivated individual and always strive to achieve company growth and development of the business I am involved. My passion for care delivery and favourable academic background makes for an excellent member of any team.

I have almost six years experience working in a variety of healthcare settings, including; community care, care homes, support work and ward based care. 

I progressed from care assistant to team leader at Clarity Homecare, my responsibilities included:

• To promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment for all residents, within a policy of managed risk taking. 
• Manage staff rotas ensuring these are used to the best effect for the physical, social and emotional care of residents and effective running of the establishment. 
• Ensure that team members understand and endorse the aims and objectives of the home by guidance, instruction and practice. 
• Responsibility for clear lines of communication ensuring staff are fully conversant with their duties – to include holding regular team meetings, promotion of an effective keycarer system and supervision of staff members. 
• Identify training needs. Participate in the planning and implementation of in-house training, including induction training for new staff. 
• Take appropriate action to remedy any unsatisfactory staff performance, recording any significant action. 

After my A levels I achieved a 2:2 in Psychology and Sociology at Manchester Metropolitan University accredited by the British Psychological Society. 

In 2017 I studied at Sheffield Hallam University and gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Care Related Skills (Assistant Practise Skills). Within this degree I gained experience working within the NHS on placement where I learned new skills and worked with a variety of different patients.
