Erin Houston

I’m a second year geography student interested in learning more about the planning industry and gaining experience. I’m particularly interested in urban planning and transport but I’m open to any opportunities to learn. 

Relevant skills from my previous professional experience in hospitality and retail include efficient and friendly communication with both customers and team members, organisation and prioritisation of tasks and ability to adapt to new roles and environments.

I’m currently studying a Geography BA, where I have started to learn about aspects of planning such as environmental impact assessments and use of GIS. I have also learnt practical skills that are applicable, time management is an important part of completing the degree as well as learning how to research and analyse data.
