TEACHER OF ENGLISH AND FILM STUDIES Elthorne Park High School, London | 2020-present 

- Teaching English Literature and Language to KS3, KS4 and KS5 - Tracking student progress in all classes through persistent analysis of data 

- Marking followed by feeding back to students according to exam specifications and mark schemes 

- Fulfilling Y11 form tutor duties through pastoral responsibilities of these students in their final year of secondary school - including writing references, and guiding them into post-16 pathways such as apprenticeships 

- Communicating with students on different online platforms for remote learning; such as Google Meet, Google Classroom, Satchel One, Office 365 and Google Drive 

- Planning and creating entire schemes of work for different year groups to be taught across the department 

- Collaboratively planning lessons with other members of the English department 

- Liaising with parents and carers about the strengths and needs of students for maximum impact on student progress - Meeting demands of the Teacher Assessed Grades process as a result of Covid-19, by deciding on students' final grades through moderation of marking and trusted professional judgement - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Powerpoint 

- Co-running the KS3 extra-curricular Film Club, whereby students are creating their own film in preparation for directing and filming 

- Attending regular training workshops, including No Learner Left Behind which focuses on the attainment of students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

- Observing other members of staff and their pedagogical approach in order to shape my own teaching practice - Being observed and critiqued by various mentors before adopting feedback into future lesson planning and teaching - Analysing specific students and their progress in fine detail and reflecting findings written in a variety of different essays - Conversing with other student teachers on a weekly basis in seminars to collaboratively reflect on practice and ways of approaching teaching different topics. 

VISITOR EXPERIENCE TEAM ASSISTANT The Museum of London | January 2019-April 2019 

- Collating verbal and written feedback from members of the public regarding LGBTQ+ History Month 

- Inputting data from visitor feedback whilst pioneering the data analysis process for this event 

- Setting and monitoring targets for the museum's LGBTQ+ History Month the following year 

- Compiling evidence for a report including graphs and charts, highlighting what was successful and what could be improved in proceeding topic-focussed months.
