I attained my black belt in Kyokushin Karate aged 7 and I was teaching under my instructor as an assistant instructor. I stopped training, competing and teaching, after a few months of holding my black belt. The reason was simply that I lost interest in the sport and wanted to do something more challenging. I later aged 11 started Muay Thai Kickboxing and became A Kru (instructor) by age 15. I began teaching aged 15 in 2007 at various schools and venues; my own version of kickboxing which was a mix of Muay Thai and Kyokushin Karate.
