About Folasade Fasoyiro:
Accomplished professional with substantial experience in counseling and Early Help support for children, young people, and families in both educational and community settings to achieve positive and sustainable change in lives.
Experience
I have current and past experience in Early intervention for infants, children, young people and their families. In my current role, I use the Signs of Safety tool to asses the needs of children and their families by delivering evidence-based child development programs and parenting support programs, carry a significant complexity caseload of children, young people and their families and co-ordinate a team around that family as Early Help Co-Ordinator. Cases are either a “step down” from CIN or CP for a period of at least 12 weeks of early help support or a stepped up from the universal services (school interventions) where little or no progress is being made or where issues have become more complex and a fresh, more intensive approach is needed. I also deliver learning and behavior support, and health interventions, such as smoking cessation and C Card, where appropriate. My previous experiences are in counselling Support to family units from minority background, a Teaching Assistant, and Recovery Connection Ambassador, within academic and community sectors. I am also a Cultural Awareness trainer at the University of Sunderland.
Education
I have a masters in childhood and youth studies and a level 7 certificate in infant mental health at the University of Sunderland. I have a previous degree in Finance and a masters in Business Administration. My certifications include Ambassador at recovery connection, Signs of Safety module, Domestic Violence, and MSET.
