About Frances Roughton:
Having worked in the film and TV industry for the past decade, I'm now looking for my next career challenge.
I'm looking for a role within events as there are so many transferable skills between the industries - logistics, organisation, team management, meeting tight deadlines and creative problem solving.
I'd love to apply my experience working within this skill set to a permanent position. As much as I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences I have been afforded while working within the film industry, I'm now at a stage where I'd like to commit full time to a permanent job role with a regular team. I'd love the opportunity to work for a company where I can draw upon the skill set I already have, and learn, grow and progress within an exciting and dynamic industry.
I have always had a passion for live events. For much of my life I have been involved in helping with them in some form - I helped with the local amateur dramatics company as a teenager, was part of an open air cinema events team when at university, have helped friends organise charity fundraising events and have designed and facilitated weddings for friends and family. I enjoy the planning and the logistical side of work and, as a seamstress, illustrator, and painter, always welcome utilising my creative skill set whenever I can.
I hope you will consider me for your team.
Many thanks,
Fran
