Travel & Professional Development - Australia & UK 

(2017 – 2021) 

• Travelled to Melbourne, Australia, knowing no one, establishing a life for myself for three years working as a self-employed video editor for editorial agency, The Word Collective. Editing marketing campaigns for Maybelline and other global brands in the hair and beauty industry.
• Studied music production at Point Blank Music School, taught myself piano to a grade 7 standard and through an online presence became an integrated part of the Melbourne dance music scene.
• Enrolled at Insight Academy, school of Entrepreneurialism, focusing on my music production, completing 12 of the 24 months of my course. Returned to the UK a year early due to Covid.
• Due to Covid, looked at other potential career options. Studied barbering at Reflections Training Academy, improving my practical knowledge of the hair and beauty industry.
• Became a qualified gym instructor at Bristol City College, improving my knowledge of the fitness industry.
• Through a chance encounter and conversation, gained work as a gardener, and then landscaper.

Film-maker, Self-Employed Video Editor & Colour Grader - UK & Australia 

(2011 – 2021) 

• Accepted into legendary film-maker, Werner Herzog's prestigious ‘Rouge Film School’ for the submission of an independent documentary I produced and directed in the Nepali Himalayas.
• Director of music video for renowned Australian band, The Pinheads, shown on Aus national TV.
• Award for best cinematography at Encounters Film Festival 2015; Depict short film competition. Selected and awarded by Oscar-winning cinematographer, Robbie Ryan. 
• Work as a video editor was included on projects and briefs for BBC, L’Oriel, Maybelline, Channel 4, The Guardian, The British Library, National Trust and more.
• Excellent creative and technical knowledge of various creative software, with a sharp eye for detail.
• Superb time-management skills.
• A high level of personal responsibility, ensuring that deadlines and budgets were adhered to.
• Gaining work through the strength of previous projects and professional reputation.

In-House Video Editor - Bristol, UK 

(2013 – 2014) 

• Video editor for Aspect, one of the South West’s largest advertising agencies, editing work for global brands including Samsung, The North Face and Starwood Hotels.
• Client-facing role demanding an ability to communicate my work to representatives of global brands. 
• Working in a constantly evolving and challenging environment where problem-solving, creating thinking and contemporary technical and creative expertise were essential requirements. 

Other Roles & Voluntary Experience: 

• Many client-facing roles in hospitality, from years spent working behind the bar, to waiting in restaurants and creating, implementing and serving menus for guests in a 5* chalet in the French Alps.
• Voluntary English teacher for Nepali charity, RCDP Nepal. Creating my own syllabus to help Tibetan and Sherpa children with their English language and literacy skills for three months in the Himalayas. 
• Volunteer at ‘The Bristol Skipchen’, working with local businesses to intercept, prepare and cook food waste for the public on a “pay as you feel” basis.
