About Jake Bird:
Having a natural affinity for programming since childhood, I'm fluent in C++ and C# with experience in C, Java, JavaScript, Python, Lua, GDScript, and a few different assembly languages. I've written games for Windows, Linux, Android, and consoles, some with level editors. I have also worked in robotics writing time-critical code in embedded systems, and on simulators needing to support external code and plugins. Throughout my career I've worked in various size groups, from solo to teams of more than 30, as required by the current project. I consistently handle multiple projects under tight deadlines from start to finish with minimal supervision
Experience
2019-current: Software Engineer for Bulletproof Games. Developed multiple retail and online slots gambling games in C#, C++, and JavaScript using Git for source control. Also responsible for maths profiling and statistical analysis of games and payments.

2017: University of Lincoln. Worked in a small team to develop software for a prototype agricultural auto-penetrometer robot, written in C++. Responsible for quickly and efficiently developing robust code in order to fully assess the viability of such a robot.
2018: Saga Robotics. A continuation of the above project, working mostly alone on a subset of a larger project developing software for a general-purpose agricultural robot, written in C and AVR assembler. Responsible for ensuring compatibility and communication between all parts of the system, and ensuring that the system stays within physical limits.
