Accounting / Finance
About Jane Sulley:
I have worked at Redmoor Academy for the last 15 years, the last 10 of those years was as the
School Business Manager and I joined the schools Senior Leadership Team. In this role I was
responsible for the management of Finance, HR, Premises, Network Services, Catering and
Administration teams, alongside my responsibilities for GDPR compliance and First Aid. I have a
sound knowledge of the complexity of self-management, leadership skills, facilities management,
risk assessments, health and safety compliance, financial organisation and all other aspects to
ensure a business is managed effectively and efficiently. My skills and knowledge have helped
steer the organisation through challenging times, especially the Covid 19 crisis. During periods of
significant change, I provided a trustworthy, experienced and consistent source of support to the
Senior Leadership Team and staff, making a valued and positive impact across all areas
encompassed by my multi-faceted role.
Previously, I successfully managed my own sales ledger team at PC World Business Direct. I was
responsible for a 10-strong team of credit controllers, whose primary task was to ensure that debt
was kept under tight control. The team had both experienced and inexperienced staff who needed
to be mentored and coached to ensure we were successful in meeting our targets.
I have a high level of ICT skills, am fully conversant with a range of packages including Microsoft
office and I have used a variety of in-house systems. I have excellent reporting and data handling
skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, excellent organisational and
communication skills and I have the ability to think strategically to resolve issues and improve
working practices.
Between 2002 and 2009 I had a career break to raise my family and I did various part-time jobs
until I resumed working full time.
