John Hoey

I’m John Hoey — a photographer, filmmaker, and digital content creator
passionate about helping people and businesses tell stories that truly connect.

Currently studying Creative Media at the University of Salford, I bring a strong
academic foundation to my work, backed by years of real-world experience
producing content for clients, companies, and personal projects. Before
university, I built a wealth of professional experience across photography,
filmmaking, and digital marketing, giving me a unique perspective on how
creative content works both artistically and strategically.

I’ve worked with non-profits, corporate clients, and individuals, adapting my
approach to fit the story, audience, and platform each project demands. From
cause-driven campaigns to brand films and natural, story-led wedding
photography, I create content that resonates.

I’m skilled in industry-standard tools like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud,
and DaVinci Resolve, allowing me to deliver polished visuals across platforms 
from cinematic films to engaging social media content.

My background in digital marketing means I understand not just how to create
content that looks great, but how to make it work hard for audiences — driving
engagement, building trust, and amplifying stories.

Based in the North West but available across the UK and beyond, I’m dedicated
