Key Responsibilities;

 

  • Directly reporting to the Operations Director and give direction and monitor performance ensuring the site runs safely, efficiently and effectively.
  • Direct responsibility for full end to end activities on site, taking accountability for overall productivity of the operation.
  • Responsible for developing relationships with the People Leadership team ensuring the delivery of an effective people plan across the site, ensuring the best talent is in place to deliver business objectives and deliver a robust succession.
  • Responsible to ensure HSE performance is achieved and that the site operates in line with all company and customer procedures and requirements relating to Health and Safety.
  • Champion a continuous improvement programme, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

 

 

 

March – September 2023 – 6 Months / Wincanton Screwfix Transport Operations Manager (Support role for new GM)

 

Achievements

  • Successful implementation of new delivery schedule which raised delivery success from 86.3% to 99.6% considering Force Majeure, through negotiating new delivery windows with over 100 stores. Consistent delivery above KPI secured extended 3PL Transport contract.

 

Key Responsibilities;

 

  • Directly reporting to the National Transport General Manager. Responsible for 5 Transport Managers and 120 Drivers
  • Transport schedule, planning and fleet management teams 
  • Circa 90 journeys a day, direct deliveries, cross dock within 4 DCs and back haul operations 
  • Customer KPIs, delivery success, delivery on time +
  • Managing driver Union relationship 
  • Full legal compliance 
  • Major incident reporting 

 

 

28th March 2022 - 4 weeks / Wincanton Screwfix Runcorn DC5 (start-up) - Warehouse Operations Manager (Support role for new DC)

 

Achievements

  • Effectively actioned plan to restore desired service to customer in timely manner reducing errors by 20% WOW hitting the target glidepath by week 4, decreasing lost sales through effective overspill management of both cage lines and ‘Top-200’ stillages lines by ensuring a robust cross-dock process is aligned within the network
  • Remapped Layout of DC for efficient process flow, increasing pick productivity by 25% by reducing marshalling time.
  • Introduced a training plan to up skill operators and release management to manager at correct level, reducing customer service complaints by 33% due to training and process management.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Accountability for overall productivity in the operation, ensuring efficiently and effectively with direct responsibility for full end to end activities in the operation.
