Therole:
As a Mechanical EquipmentSupervisor, your main role will be conducted within an office-basedposition at Fugro in Falmouth. Within this role, you will serve asthe primary support contact for the mechanical aspects of a mobiledrilling unit. Joining a department consisting of several equipmentsupervisors overseeing offshore equipment, you will play a pivotalrole in the planning and budgeting for preventive maintenance andupgrades which will include liaising between many internal andexternal departments. Additionally, you will be responsible forsupervising routine mechanical tasks carried out by rig mechanicson the ships. Regular visits to vessels during port stays will bepart of your duties, where you will actively contribute to routinestatutory inspections and in planned maintenanceactivities.
The primaryfunction of the role is to supervise the repair, maintenance andimprovement of the mechanical plant and equipment. The otherfunctions also include:
Who we're lookingfor:
Fugro is looking for aMechanical Equipment Supervisor that has a strong desire to improvethe performance, having the stamina to drive change and motivatepeople within your team, requiring you to manage challengingsituations and make decisions under pressure. You will also need tobe willing and able to travel worldwide (usually UK Mainland andEurope) when required.
As theMechanical Equipment Supervisor, you are required to have planningand organisational skills with a priority and good attitude forSafety. You are also required to be an effective communicator witha proactive and supportive attitude who leads byexample.
Having good computerskills using Word/Excel/MS Project etc is desirable and any priorexperience in maintenance management, Mechanical or technicalexperience and being familiar with using asset management systemsis a big plus.
