Jorge García de la Nuez

I have circa 15 years in technical safety consultancy in the UK, having started as a risk analyst in 2008 and having worked as a Principal Consultant for over 10 years. I have worked primarily for clients in the offshore sector, but also have experience of onshore activities, marine industry and hydrogen industry.

I am now seeking to relocate to South East Asia. I bring extensive experience in offshore Safety Case preparation, update and review, as well as safety studies preparation, both for design projects and for assets in operation as well as in the process of being decommissioned.

I have significant experience in Quantitative risk analysis (QRA), fire and explosion risk analysis (FERA), dropped object studies, escape, evacuation and rescue assessment (EERA), smoke and gas ingress assessment, TR integrity assessment,  SECE performance standards, bowties.

I am an experienced workshop facilitator, using techniques such as HAZID, bowtie or FMEA. I have also supported HAZOPs and LOPA, but not as lead.

I am a fast learner, and very keen to be involved in tech safety work that may be a bit different to the consultancy work I have been involved with.

For the job in South East Asia I would relocate with my wife and my 6-year old child, so would be looking for assistance with relocation, school, etc. We are all British nationals and I think I can make a great contribution with my consultancy background in the UK.

Previously worked in a similar position for RMRI Ltd, also in the UK, starting in November 2008 as a risk analyst, being promoted in 2011 to Senior Consultant and in 2012 to Principal Consultant. I left RMRI in March 2019 to join what was the consulting arm of Lloyd's Register, which then separated in 2020 to form Vysus Group

Degree in Industrial Engineering - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), 5 year course, equivalent to MSC
