Keith Korff

My name is Keith Korff.  I live in Exeter, Digby & Sowton.  I am currently working at Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service (DSFRS) as a Building Services Engineer.  I manage all the Hard Services Contracts and ensure all 114 buildings are compliant.  I manage the KPI's and SLA's and any replacement and improvement works.  I also oversee Project works when required.  I have vast knowledge and experience in Building Services (FM Hard Services).  I initially started as an Electrician on various sites in London and then progressed in my career into Management. 
I have been with DSFRS for almost 10 years and am now looking for a new challenge and potential progression.  Please see my CV for more detailed work experience.  

I am a qualified electrician.  I worked as a site facilities engineer maintaining most systems and equipment across a variety of buildings, including critical equipment.  I then took up a Supervisor role for just under a year, where I was promoted to Site Manager, in which I managed all Hard FM services including Project works.  On relocating to Devon I worked as a Project Manager, where I managed a major refurbishment project at the Land Registry Office.  As this was a freelance role, I found a permanent role as Project Manager with a renewables company, where I managed 13 staff and planned and delivered all aspects of new  installation projects. Since 2014, I have been working at Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service (DSFRS) as the Building Services engineer, where I manage all the Hard Services for the Estates Department. DSFRS is the largest non-metropolitan fire service in the UK with 84 operational fire stations and a total of 114 buildings, which I ensure are compliant to all current regulations and legislation.  I also oversee reactive calls and carry out project works.  I believe I bring a vast knowledge of the FM, M&E & Project Management experience, which I believe would be valuable to various roles.   

I am also an On-call Fire Fighter, currently a Crew Manager at Middlemoor Fire Station.  I am a qualified Level 1 Incident Commander, which allows me to take control of incidents up to 5 fire appliances.  This role has taught me to be very dynamic when assessing risks and making informed timely decisions to put in place control measures and safe systems of work.  As part of the management team, I manage 11 fire fighters and ensure the availability of our fire appliance and all other staff management responsibilities.  (I would be willing to terminate this role if required by my primary employer) 

I currently have one module to complete (March 2024) for my IFE Level 3 Diploma in Fire Engineering.
