Year in industry student at Network Rail

Responsible for showcasing communication packs focusing on the key facts around weather resilience and climate change adaption across the organisation, identifying and sharing success stories as well as lessons learnt to improve the organisations response to climate change.  

Responsible for collating requirements to update the organisations external websites and ensuring accurate timely information was available to customers; 

Attended various site visits across the rail network to understand the challenges faced by the teams in these environments and improve my knowledge and skillset within the transport sector; 

Improved communication skills, through planning and governing structured hybrid meetings and ensuring correspondence into the teams was considered and actioned to meet stakeholders’ requirements and needs.   

Sourced requirements for and delivered guidance notes across a range of subjects to help improve the quality of service in the company; 

Planned, organised and led various companywide events for World Environment Day promoting sustainable options for employees alongside launching a new company indicator, which measures employees environmental impacts; 

Achieved Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management (IEMA, 2022), following five day course.
