Lauren Turner

I am an enthusiastic and experienced Learning and Development Professional with extensive experience of e-learning and digital programme design as well as practical teaching application in both Colleges and the Charity Sector. I have developed multiple online programme’s, able to apply pedagogic design enabling blended approaches and inclusive learning for all. I am accustomed to making decisions and working under pressure, managing varying stakeholders at all levels ensuring results are achieved and appropriate Learning and Development interventions applied to all aspects of organisations. I have the confidence to work on my own initiative and strive to develop myself academically, personally, and professionally.

I see myself as an accomplished Learning and Development professional with a deep-seated passion for learning in all forms, talent development and the use of blended learning provision in innovative L&D frameworks. 

I like to take a systematic approach to the development, delivery and improvement of training programmes and feel that I am highly skilled at analysing business, operational and learning needs and then creating immersive training content that inspires skill development. I have been required to work with stakeholders at varying levels with varying business needs whether that be compliance training or interpersonal skill development through to a specific project linked to business strategy which requires time and dedication in forming and building strong relationships with the people around you both internally and externally and see that it is imperative in keeping stakeholders in the loop throughout planning, design and implementation of learning.

I have been responsible for building and developing the training experiences for staff and volunteers. This has ranged from the development of workshops to support line managers in identifying signs of decline in mental health during the recent pandemic, development of scenario-based training, interpersonal skills modules that can be applied to teams with varying developmental needs, through to whole organisation training on Disclosures and Safeguarding and supporting our staff through compliance training requirements both remotely (eLearning’s) and in person. 

Through the development of programmes and training I have utilised the experiences of expert volunteers including clinical doctors, subject matter experts and committee members. I have been part of key working parties tasked with shaping the development of specific awards; most recently working alongside ARUP, an engineering company, ensuring I met both organisation’s outcomes for this project. I have chaired working parties and, alongside committees, our board of trustees, and staff members have worked together to formulate actions towards the delivery of our learning pathways.

I like to take a hands-on professional approach throughout the L&D lifecycle finding ways to develop individuals and teams but also showing the skills to enhance company culture, morale, organisational reputation, and retention. I am Future facing, eager to consult with vast experience devising training and talent solutions that delivers performance results as desired and intended.
