Experience
Senior Hire Sales Controller is responsible for the following duties:
Raising quotes to send to customers, processing orders from customers, liaising with the service and transport departments to ensure the customer orders are fulfilled. Raising Off Hires, damages, breakdowns, serving customers on the front counter involving heavy lifting.
Handling customer queries over the phone, emails, debt calls and maintaining business by going to the company construction site to seek for orders. Embrace sales initiatives across the hub, building strong customer relationships and maintain a high standard of branch presentation and service. Maintain professional standards of product knowledge and provide support to our customers looking to get the right product. Carrying out inspections and testing of equipment before and after each hire to ensure equipment is reliable and safe. Achieve and maintain stock levels and availability, liaising internally with our logistics network to ensure 100% customer satisfaction from order to delivery. Be a key driver in serious safety by leading from the front.
Aiding the day to day running & supervision of their branch, customer service, administration of paperwork and ensuring correct stock levels. Ensuring the correct LGUK policies and procedures are followed.
Daily duties is to use and update all contracts on the Contracts register on LGUK hard drive. Particular emphasis to be made for contracts still marked Review of transport planner to ensure that all transport commitments are being/have been complied with and that transport for the next day to arrange in line with customer requirements by processing all incoming communications from customers by ensuring maximum revenue conversion, authorized Signing of LGUK Software and word generated RTE’s for all contracts.
Weekly duties are to assist in generating & action of the Branch Weekly reports and in completion of weekly Invoice run as requested. To ensure that all Delivery Notes have been actioned for all ‘live’ contracts, including all outstanding daily enquiries are chased up so that the status of contracts on Insphire is up to date. If required to step in to complete the weekly timesheets, generation of Clocking reports to Cross reference, VMS Time, Vehicle checks, send off to Head office and high levels of accuracy when completing larger more difficult contracts and purchase orders.
Understand the process of the Customer Service measuring programme. Drive sales, ensuring that targets are achieved and where possible, exceeded. Utilize the in-store devices, offering the customer the whole product range. Provide alternatives and add on sales at every opportunity. Assist in the maintenance of standards on the shop floor and for all displays and merchandise. Keep stock, clean and presentable at all times and replenish stock levels when needed, making sure the full-size range is on the shop floor where possible. To deputize for other staff, work within departments, or carry out other duties as required. Represent the company in the most professional manner at all times. Conduct my work in a safe and responsible manner.
Education
Great communication skills within face to face, email or telephone.
Great knowledge of plant hire equipment i.e Generators, Hilti Breakers, Genie Lifts, Alloy Span Towers, Cutting Tools (Wood/Concrete) etc.
Ability to travel from site to site with 100% pure customer service and Confident to seek new business
Negotiating on a sale and still hitting a target.
Proven ability to learn new tasks quickly and effectively
Good timekeeping and patience.
Strong knowledge of all MS Office applications.
