Lisette de Vries

Hi, I'm Lisette, a multilingual Dutch professional with Australian citizenship and settled status in the UK. Having lived and worked in the Netherlands, Italy, Australia and the UK, I have an international orientation and cultural awareness which I like to express in my field of work.

I’ve spent over 15 years in international customer service, much of it in the travel industry, so I’ve developed a real passion for helping people plan and enjoy memorable journeys. At TravelEssence I supported clients through every stage of booking bespoke holidays to Australia, New Zealand and North America, and often guided them through visas, insurance, and travel documents. I also dealt with unexpected disruptions, where staying calm and finding solutions quickly was crucial.

Before that, at Eurostar, I handled high-level complaints and complex enquiries, which really strengthened my ability to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and resolve issues with empathy. Across all my roles I’ve built strong skills in handling calls and emails, paying close attention to detail, and looking for opportunities to enhance the customer’s experience.
