About Lucy Davies:
I spin many plates - presenting two radio shows on Petersfield's Shine Radio. I manage the social media platforms for local amateur theatre groups and other community projects and have previously worked as a customer service advisor and social media assistant in the insurance industry.
With more than five years of experience in voluntary and professional roles, I bring a genuine passion for communications and social media and a proven ability to craft compelling narratives, manage brand presence, and drive successful campaigns.
Experience
My current role requires me to be proficient in content management & curation – creating, scheduling & repurposing engaging content for thirty accounts across five platforms for the seven companies within the Ellis Recruitment Group. The role has enabled me to develop my digital asset creation skills using Canva & Photoshop and develop my copywriting & photography skills. My extensive customer service experience means I am comfortable and proficient in conveying company messages efficiently.
As Social Media Officer & Trustee for a local theatre group, I strengthened my understanding of marketing, publicity, & working with committee members & other stakeholders. I have taken sole responsibility for creating & scheduling regular social media content & community management.
To enhance my marketing capabilities, I self-funded & completed CPD-accredited training with the Tech Pixies, an award-winning social enterprise helping women across the UK to upskill with digital marketing, social media & Word Press. The course provided training for various social media platforms & additional training opportunities for Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, & MailChimp.
As a result of my role as a presenter on Petersfield's Shine Radio, I have gained invaluable experience in marketing, communications, social media management & content creation. Launched during the Covid-19 pandemic, the project has broadcast daily, keeping the community engaged & inspired through essential fact-checked information & the views & insights of local voices. In my publicity & social media role, I utilised scheduling tools & analytics to create & schedule content, which increased engagement by 68% & post reach by 30%.
Furthermore, I took an active & leading role in a marketing campaign which generated £500 from local business partnerships for the station & led early discussions, which resulted in additional commitments for specialised sponsorship deals, securing an additional £300 for the project.
