Throughout my schooling, mathematics has always been one of my strengths and I have a keen interest in pursuing a career in Data Science and welcome the opportunity to learn the techniques involved in this career field which I hope will provide me with good opportunities for advancement in the future.

I feel Data Science will not only give me great career prospects, with numerous opportunities, but I also believe that it will help me with my future personal growth by developing a problem solving attitude.

Through the subjects studied at A Level, I have developed my ability to collect and analyse information and have significantly improved my problem solving and decision-making skills. My A Level Business Studies course has developed my analytical skills and enhanced my understanding of data collection, as well as my ability to apply theory to practice. It also improved my essay writing and presenting my ideas clearly, which I feel will not only be useful in an exam context but also in a real life business situation.

I am a confident individual who works well as a team member but also very well independently and I am happy to share my views and ideas for the benefit of the team. I have a high standard of literacy and numeracy with good IT skills and communicate well. I am focused on any task I am assigned, have good attention to detail and have the ability to present my ideas clearly and concisely, which I feel is an asset in any real-life situation.  When offered the opportunity to learn new skills, I thrive on the challenge for self-improvement and always work to the best of my ability to achieve a high standard and exceed expectation.

On a personal level, I have had significant involvement in sport, particularly football since an early age and still enjoy playing.  During my A Level studies I was a member of the Luton Town Cedars Elite Football Development Programme, which I commenced at the start of Sixth Form, being involved with the squad was very demanding in respect of the hours that were required to train and play matches in the two leagues we were enrolled with, especially whilst studying 3 A Levels, however, the scheme offered me the opportunity to not only improve my physical skills but my psychological skills as well whilst being involved in a sport that I loved.

Having been skiing on two occasions to Austria, this is a skill that I would like to develop further. I also enjoy Gaming as a means of relaxation and an opportunity to develop my competitive edge. Social interaction with friends and family is also important to me. 

Having now completed my A Level education, I am looking forward to this next chapter in my life and am really looking forward to the opportunities that an apprenticeship in this field will offer me.
