Marco Basche Gonzalez
Upper Management / Consulting
About Marco Basche Gonzalez:
I am a first-year University of Warwick student studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (BSc PPE) - specializing in economics - and looking to gain experience in the financial industry. I'm a self-starter who thrives on new challenges and enjoys improving my technical competencies and tackling complex problems with creative solutions.
I am a Market Research Executive for Warwick Entrepreneurs Society, where I help produce reports on growing industries and services. My research involves conducting risk and revenue analysis, identifying growth opportunities, providing macro-overviews of specific countries, analyzing competition, and making recommendations for start-ups. This role has allowed me to hone my research skills and gain valuable insights into the financial world.
I am also highly entrepreneurial and have been able to apply my analytical skills to generate a side income through arbitrage betting and poker. Currently, I am competing in the UK University Poker Open (UKUPO), and I am excited to continue competing and refining my skills.
I've also recently become interested in online trading and have been educating myself on different strategies and risk management. I'm taking online courses and practicing with virtual trading accounts to gain hands-on experience. I'm eager to apply my knowledge to real-world scenarios and continue learning.
