Manufacturing Technician (Mechanical)

- Assembly of protein instrument cartridges, including pre and post-components, inspection and testing.

-  Build all the sub-assembly parts of the Nuclera Instrument:

Mechanical assembly and build of the components and sub-assemblies after being tested.

Dismantled and reworked faulty parts to be repaired and reassembled afterwards.

- Test various sub-assembly components before their installation on the Nuclera Instrument, followed by preforming end-of-line testing and calibration of the Instrument.

- Use of adjustable Torque Screwdrivers to secure all the screws, standoff,  coupling and nuts, following building instructions specifications.

- Inventory Management:

Acquire incoming packages, confirm the amount, and verify against technical drawings prior to integration into the system.

Magnets:

- Carried out sonic cleaning procedures on magnets, affixed the onto the magnet transporter using adhesive, and subsequently conducted thorough checks and measurements to ensure precision and quality.

Security cleared by the Military Vetting System to SC level.

- Constructed material packs for thermal blankets on diverse satellites, following the BOM specifications for each pack requirement.

- Sewing Velcro onto packs and blankets, using industrial sewing machines

- Finalize blankets assembly, incorporating metal base materials such as Aluminium, Titanium and ITO as an external “skin”.

- Executed installation of finishing blankets, following drawings and specifications, ensuring adherence to tight tolerances, precision fit on various satellite components (pipes, helium tanks, floors, walls, etc)

- During and after installations, accurate filling all the paperwork to ensure traceability.

- Templated satellite parts for blanket production, overseeing testing and facilitating transition to production.

- Conducted electric testing of satellite blanket to ensure optimal functionality, in production and installation.

- Trained new technicians and apprentices on procedures, materials and specification of working in a clean room.

- Manufacturing of composite components, using Kevlar material and Nomex honeycomb, and various film and foaming adhesives.

- Experience drilling and trimming composite components, using various cutting tools, adhesives to bond studs and inserts. All procedures done follow specifications and tolerances.
