Maryam Ebrahimi Jujili

I am a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. I want to have a full time career.

I am Dr Maryam Ebrahimi Jujili, and I am applying for the job of Accounting Tutor, based on my years of expertise in teaching curriculum development, research, and leadership in academia that fits significantly with requirements of this position. I was awarded MSc in Accounting and Management and finance, and PhD in Accounting with Distinction. I am very passionate about teaching accounting and finance modules. I have more than 16 years of experience worked officially in several universities and national and international companies. In most of my positions I was independent and had self-managing work style. I have also worked as a financial and tax consultant in large and prestigious companies, and I am very proficient and experienced in all accounting applications. I have summarised my past and present education, administrative and research experience. I would like to be considered for this specific position and hope to demonstrate my strong motivation and enthusiasm and how much I could bring to it.  

My experience as a financial manager and corporate consultant gave me more responsibility and gave me the opportunity to interact efficiently with colleagues, managers, customers, and employees under my leadership to develop leadership skills. I also worked in international companies and have experience in LC accounting and different currencies, which made me familiar with commercial laws, commercial policies of international companies and financial policies of some countries.

I studied for an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, and since then, I have also been teaching Math for Mathematics and accounting subjects. My excellent mathematical skill, problem solving skills, accounting teaching, industry experience, and setting up new business fields for companies enabled me to transfer knowledge of complex calculations in accounting to my students in innovative and creative ways. My evaluation scores from student feedback were consistently above 95.5% for all modules. Considering my senior academic level, work skills, and excellent student feedback, I have been invited to teach at other university campuses where I taught (such as branches of Payam Noor or Azad University). These developments created a strong network of internal and external communication with my colleagues and peers. I also taught exclusively for modules that require a high level of ability and Math skills, like Advanced Accounting 2 module. Therefore, I know what it takes to combine studies with work in the industry. I have also been at the university as the assistant head of the accounting department, and I have much experience in planning and evaluating modules, classrooms, and students, dealing with students' requests, and solving their problems, and comprehensively monitoring their standard quality. 

The most crucial part of accounting education is familiarising students with practical skills and preparing them to apply the course material in their profession. For this reason and my strategic thinking skills, I have led a team of several accounting experts at the Persian Hesab Institution to design, plan, and implement an online practical accounting course with modern educational technologies. This programme provided expert practical training in accounting and tax executive skills with a focus on taxation, Financial Accounting, management accounting, corporate finance, financial exchanges in international companies, and working with different currencies for all accountants at any skill level and age. I worked hard with this institution as a lecturer, head of the writers Association, director of student support, and one of the senior members. I was involved many days and hours for this course. Some of this programme’ s video content was made available online for the public. Aside from the video contents, I had written the output of this course as a book. Many enthusiastic students studied accounting practically, and I am delighted that many of my students who engaged in this programme with the highest techniques are currently senior and top-level accounting professionals. Many also achieved a high career promotion after graduation and completing this programme. Of course, the good reputation of the institution and the attraction of more students should not be ignored. I also worked as lecturer and book editor at the Danesh pajuhan institute, one of the most well-known institutions for management and applied accounting education and accounting software, with several branches in Iran. This institute had a department of internship, which, under my direct supervision of me, introduced talented and top students of each module to industrial companies. I was also responsible for supporting these students six months after starting work.

Regarding research experience, I have published articles on various challenging accounting issues in specialized journals and conferences. I have supervised several post-graduate students’ dissertations. I have also completed a second master's degree in management and finance at BCU. I am well acquainted with writing articles and conducting research in English. I am researching contemporary accounting topics with my former colleagues. Due to my memberships in professional bodies and communication with experts in this field, I have always kept my knowledge up to date. I am currently a visiting lecturer in Accounting at Birmingham City University. I am teaching AAT levels 1, 2, 3, and CIMA level 1 privately.
