About Meg Mathias:

I’m seventeen and am extremely keen to find a part time Job, preferably in the hospitality sector. I am extremely hardworking, friendly and sociable. I have some work experience where I have worked well both on my own and as part of a larger group , I communicate well with others and can follow instructions, I am a quick learner. I am currently in my last year of sixth form, studying for my A-Levels at the Friary school. Whilst I enjoy learning, I am keen to secure a part time job.

Experience

The Photo Shop (August 2023 – March 2024)

This was my first part time job within the retail sector. This job taught me how to communicate with customers in an effective, friendly and approachable way, as well as time management and responsibility within a work place. Within this job, I had to sell products to customers, learn to produce and make these products myself and communicate with customers within the shop floor. 

The Quill and Scholar (March 2024 – Current)

This has been my first job in the hospitality sector and has been very valuable to me. Within this job I began as a runner but was rapidly promoted to a Server/ Waitress role. This job taught me how to work well and effectively under pressure, good communication skills with customers in a professional, friendly and approachable manner, time management, quick problem solving and working well as a large team as well as managing my own section independently. 

Education

I am currently studying for my A-Levels at the Friary School.  My expected A level grades are as noted below:

  • English literature and language :  B
  • Geography :  A
  • Religious studies :  A
