Mia Best

My name is Mia Best. I have been working in the yachting industry for around 3 years now and I'm looking for a career back at base. I love the hospitality industry, and working on yachts however I am looking for my next challenge and career move. My attention to detail and dealing with guests/customers is important to me and I take pride in this. My moto is to be warm and welcoming but also to make sure the job is complete at the end of the day. I work hard, and never shy away from a good opportunity. Having a good working relationship in my job is also a priority to me. I love working in a team but also thoroughly enjoy working on my own. Any consideration is greatly appreciated!

I have been a Stewardess in the yachting industry for just shy of 3 years. I have travelled the world and that was the main aim. However, on this journey I have gained valuable skills and climbed the ladder quicker then the average stewardess. My people and communication skills are very strong and I really enjoyed dealing with the VIP type of person. You learn how to deal with every scenario when working on yachts and I would say my work ethic is as strong as it could be. I'm always looking for my next challenge! 

I have a degree in fashion business in London at LCCA. I decided this wasn't the right career move for me throughout but made sure I atleast got to the end of my degree to finish what I started. I enjoy learning new things and although I havent continued in the fashion industry I believe it has bought me to where I am today. Doing this degree has given me skills and opened up opportunities for me. 

Before Uni I did my GCSE and Alevels at St David's college in Llandudno. This school opened my heart to the amount of outdoor activities and learning to love the outdoors more and more. I learned different sports here which weren't available to me when I was younger in the middle East.
