About Molly Maguire:

Hello! I’m a Product Designer who’s all about making digital experiences smoother, smarter, and more human. I love diving into complex problems, working closely with teams and users to figure out what really matters, and turning that into thoughtful, intuitive designs.

My work spans from sketching low-fidelity ideas on sticky notes to building full prototypes in Figma and Sketch. I’ve tackled everything from designing AI-powered HR tools, reimagining onboarding journeys, designing (many!) intranets and fully building PowerApps.

I am really interested in accessibility, inclusion, and designing experiences that actually help people!

I’m now looking for my next role where I can lead designs whilst collaborating with great people. I’m excited to join a team where I can contribute to shaping products that make a meaningful difference.

Experience

Senior UX Design Consultant, Avanade Mar 2021- present

Currently working as a UX designer at a consultancy firm. Worked on many projects including:-

BP

  • Shaped the design vision and created, tested, and refined an AI-led digital HR platform on Salesforce that optimised employee support, reduced high-touch interactions, and contributed to projected operating savings of $140 million by 2025.
  • Designed a recruitment and resourcing platform in six weeks, streamlining five separate tools into one and improving customer journeys, workflow efficiency across multiple teams and cutting operational costs.
  • Redesigned a SharePoint site that wasn’t fit for purpose into a user-friendly, self-service hub leveraging the bp design system - that clearly showcased the Site Design team’s work, improved asset accessibility, and significantly reduced incoming queries.
  • Revamped the company’s global onboarding experience for hiring managers and senior hires by unifying tools, refining content, and creating personalised journeys—resulting in strong new hire engagement and a 92% satisfaction rate.

MARS

  • Designed a personalised digital workplace using Microsoft Viva Connections within Microsoft Teams, improving workflows, boosting productivity, and enhancing employee engagement for 130,000 users by consolidating tasks, reminders, and collaboration tools.


Anglo American

  • Created and launched an in-house Lateral Flow Test app to facilitate a safe return to offices for a global mining company, creating testing and entry procedures with a 30-second process, and seamless user experience, which successfully scaled to 13,000 tests across multiple regions.
