I excelled in building strong customer relationships, elevating my communication skills through the creation of a welcoming environment. My expertise in suit tailoring for diverse occasions showcased my keen sense of styling. Operating with unwavering positivity, I adeptly managed high-pressure situations in a fast-paced setting, refining my ability to thrive in such environments. 

Jan 2023 - Mar 2023             Manchester Royal Infirmary –Placement 

Within an acute case load, I conducted thorough dysphagia assessments, refining my expertise in evaluating swallowing disorders. My role expanded to encompass communication and voice therapy, contributing to patients enhanced expressive capabilities. In addition, I provided medical training to junior doctors, further deepening my understanding of the clinical landscape. This exposure reinforced my adeptness at managing high-pressure scenarios, guaranteeing optimal care delivery. Furthermore, I extended my involvement to the community side of the team, conducting communication assessments and contributing to discharge processes.  

May 2022 – June 2022          Royal Liverpool University Hospital & Aintree Hospital –Placement               

I conducted a multitude of dysphagia and community assessments for adults, expanding my expertise in these areas. Operating within the hospital, I skilfully prepared barium swallow assessments and FEEs assessments. Additionally, I initiated and executed an audit, evaluating the implementation of SLT recommendations across wards for effectiveness. My audit findings informed valuable recommendations to enhance the process. This experience allowed me to actively contribute to the improvement of clinical practices while honing my assessment and analytical skills.

Jan 2021- Mar 2022              Elsmbank College Hub & Milwood Primary School –Placement 

I managed caseloads in special schools and college, gaining practical experience with a diverse group of individuals facing communication challenges. I o had the opportunity to explore various AAC devices, including eye gaze technology and observed assessments conducted by the ACE Centre. This exposure expanded my knowledge of mounting equipment and providing AAC solutions, encompassing both low-tech and high-tech options. Additionally, I attended PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) training and successfully created PECS boards to enhance communication for individuals benefiting from visual aids. Collaboration was integral to my role, involving close work with schoolteachers, families and caregivers to implement effective communication strategies at home, further supporting the individuals' communication development.

Oct 2021- Dec 2021               Oakwood Academy –Placement 

I have analysed Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) for high school students in a specialist school with moderate to severe learning difficulties and contributed in updating them. I employed a diverse array of assessment tools, including the TALC, RAPT and CELF-5 enabling a thorough understanding of students' communication skills and cognitive capacities. To ensure a holistic understanding of each student's unique needs, I demonstrated creativity and initiative by developing personalized informal assessment methods, creating my own equipment. One of my key strengths lies in setting both long-term and short-term targets for individual students, aligning their educational plans with their unique developmental needs.

Sept 2021 – Feb 2022            Primark – Sales Advisor 

I held diverse responsibilities vital to the store's functionality. From proficiently managing stock and curating attractive displays on the shop floor, to providing seamless customer service at tills, I consistently enhanced the shopping experience. I meticulously organized the store and upheld social distancing protocols, prioritizing safety. Through these multifaceted tasks, I exhibited a commitment to fostering efficiency and customer satisfaction.
