I'm a strategic communications and stakeholder engagement specialist with a background in delivering impactful projects across infrastructure, energy, sustainability, and the public sector. I’ve led comms strategies for everything from compliance frameworks to ESG campaigns, always with a focus on clarity, connection, and measurable impact.
Currently, I’m the Development & Relationship Manager at We Are Brass Tacks, a culture change consultancy where I help organisations communicate with purpose and engage their people more meaningfully. I thrive in complex, fast-moving environments and enjoy translating big ideas into practical plans that bring people on the journey.
Whether I’m managing high-profile projects, shaping internal comms strategies, or developing engagement campaigns, I bring strong project management, stakeholder insight, and a calm, collaborative approach. I’m passionate about creating communication that makes a difference—not just for organisations, but for the people they serve.
Experience
I have over a decade of experience spanning communications, stakeholder engagement, business development, and project management. My career has taken me from marketing and tendering roles in the construction and energy sectors to leading communication strategies for global clients in consultancy.
At CMBS Construction Ltd., I progressed to Contracts & Operations Director, managing public sector frameworks, securing accreditations like ISO 9001 and 14001, and leading award-winning community benefit programmes. I also developed business continuity plans and tender strategies that secured high-value contracts.
Since 2020, I’ve been part of We Are Brass Tacks, where I moved from Communications Consultant to Development & Relationship Manager. Here, I’ve delivered communication and engagement strategies for complex projects, including ESG and HSE campaigns, stakeholder consultations, and culture change initiatives. I’ve introduced CRMs and bid libraries, improved internal processes, and led client relationships to deliver impactful, values-led work across sectors including biopharma, waste management, and the public sector.
Education
I hold a BA (Hons) in Marketing & Psychology and an MSc in International Hospitality Management, both from the University of Strathclyde. These gave me a strong foundation in audience behaviour, strategic communication, and service leadership. To support my professional development, I’ve completed CPD in Tendering & Procurement, ISO 9001 & 14001 Internal Auditor Training, and more recently, the Help to Grow Management Course at the University of the West of Scotland. I’m currently working towards the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification to deepen my project management credentials.
