About NIDAL ALI:

 I am seeking a fresh challenge and I am passionate in utilising my skills and 25+ years’ experience that includes working operations and commercial roles to add value to add value. 

As you will note within the enclosed CV, the breadth of my expertise covers a wide range of experience working with notable success most recently as Lebanon Country Director, IRL. This a UK-based humanitarian organisation with offices in 40 countries around the globe, a turnover of £128 million (2018).

Previously, I was Operations Director, International Extended Care Centre, Jeddah, KSA and Vice President Business Development, Sukoon International Co. Jeddah, KSA. My enclosed CV will detail further experience and achievements.

I am an individual with an exceptionally strong work ethic with several key areas of expertise including managing operations, stakeholder management, project management, commercial management and reporting. 

I am incredibly self-motivated recognised for my adaptable leadership ability, with a passion to succeed. Experience

Lebanon Country Director, IRL, Birmingham, UK, MAR 2018 – MAR 2021                                                 

  • Recruited as Lebanon Country Director for a UK-based Humanitarian Organisation with offices in 40 countries around the globe, a turnover of £128 million (2018) and six sectors including Education, Healthcare, and Livelihood, OSP, Food security and Child Protection.
  • Led a team of 50, monitored performance and successfully raised £10 million from IRL Partners and Institutional Donors in 2021.
  • Developed the main framework of the country’s strategy aligned with the regional and global strategy of the organisation and consistently achieved revenue targets set out in the annual business plan.
  • Built, maintained and increased a network of local NGO’s and INGO’s working in Lebanon with the same beneficiaries’ targets, as well as network with Lebanese governmental agencies, Country’s Representatives involved in the humanitarian work.
  • Aligned organisation’s policies with the international standards of humanitarian work.

Operations Director, IEC, Jeddah, KSA, January 2009-January 2017

  • Coordinated the day-to-day operations of an extended care, intensive nursing care, and long-term care Centre of its kind in the Middle East with 200 beds over five buildings, a 15-dialysis unit Centre and an 80 closed monitoring unit Centre.
  • Responsibility for the entire range of support services including Dietary Services, IT and Networks, Supply Chain, Material Management as well as Housekeeping Services, Laundry Services, Maintenance, Waste Management and Safety and Security.
  • Procured required equipment and materials in preparation for the opening of the facility.
  • Coordinated all construction activities for the development of the facility into an extended care centre.
  • Negotiated contracts with subcontractors and technical partners and the medical operator.   

Vice President Business Development, Sukoon International Co. Jeddah, KSA, JAN 2007 – MAY 2009

Provided leadership to 21 personnel and managed the daily operation of Sukoon International, a real estate investor and developer with a focus on the healthcare sector with a paid capital of 450 million Saudi Riyals.

  • Recruited and retained staff and ensured they had the necessary strategies, training and development plans to consistently achieve in line with business objectives.
  • Planned work flow, assessed priorities, allocated timescales and distributed work per level of expertise required. 
  • Worked with KPMG to define/set Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Key Result Areas (KRA) for all key executives, as well as institutional structure and processes.
  • Developed and implementation of the marketing strategy, financial models for all related projects and the Business Plan for the Sukoon Int. with Ernst & Young Consultancy.
  • Successfully led the Sukoon team with the aid of John Lang Lassalle (JLL) to develop comprehensive feasibility study for the development of a Hospitality Complex in the city of Jeddah.

Project Development Lead, International Extended Care Centre, Jeddah, MAY 2009 – JAN 2017

  • Successfully led the concept formulation of the project and drew its business model, developed financial evaluation of the project as well as financial documents, proposal documentations and all legal documentations relevant to the project to regulate all stakeholders’ interests.
  • Led all non-medical support services activities, setup new services, restructured old ones and closed existing ones.
  • Defined and built the organisation structure for the non-medical operation, with responsibility for recruitment after drafting the suitable remuneration packages.
  • Led negotiations of support services contracts, organised mobilisation plans and managed their pre-operation phases.

Established Gladstone Investment Group, London UK, 1997 – 2006

  • Supported clients to manage their real estate portfolio using road mapping as well as acquisition/disposal plan to generate a potential return on investment.
  • Successfully managed/delivered 15 construction projects with a turnover of £15 million and managed a real estate portfolio worth £15 million.
