About Rachel Dickinson:
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and registered member of the BACP. I am passionate about promoting positive mental health and well-being and supporting individuals through transitions, life events and challenging times. With over 1500 post qualification client hours, I have extensive experience working with adults and young people in a range of settings offering for both short term, time limited work and long-term complex cases. I offer face-to-face and online counselling and work with clients with a broad range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship and friendship difficulties, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, abuse and trauma, domestic violence, addictions, eating disorders and long term health issues.

- In 2017 I set up in part time Private Practice working with adults and young people and offer face-to-face and online counselling.
- With over 1500 post qualification client hours, I am experienced in working with a broad range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship and friendship difficulties, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, abuse and trauma, domestic violence, addictions, eating disorders, long term health issues, transitions and life events.
School Counsellor, Wycombe High School
- I worked as School Counsellor at a top performing Grammar School for students aged 11 to 18 (Year 7 – Year 13), providing short and mid-term work for a variety of mental health issues including low self-esteem and confidence, anxiety, depression, identity issues, self harm, OCD and ASD.
- I completed Safeguarding assessments and worked in close partnership with the Pastoral Team and Designated Safeguarding Leads to support vulnerable and high-risk students and those presenting with serious self harm and suicidal ideation.
- Where required, I continued sessions and longer term work with more complex issues and made referrals to MHST, Youth Worker and CAMHS where appropriate.
Volunteer Counsellor - Time to Talk Bucks
- I gained invaluable experience working on a weekly basis with young people in Aylesbury and students at Amersham college.
- Experience including working with high-risk, vulnerable clients including those with disabilities and special educational needs (SEN).
