I am a dynamic and ambitious HR leader with extensive people management experience which has enhanced my leadership and communication skills. I have detailed knowledge of HR processes and procedures and I strive to continuously seek ways to develop my organisations in-house HR practices as well as opportunities for my own personal development. Experience

  • Managing all elements of the HR function, experience across the UK and Ireland and international organisations.
  • Outstanding change management skills
  • Advise and support managers on implementing changes to organisational structures, ensuring that the organisation meets its obligations to consult effectively with staff and local and fulltime working groups /Trade Union/ Professional Organisation, and follows an appropriate process to introduce changes, including selection for redundancy and managing the redeployment process.  
  • Operational and strategic delivery of all HR processes at a strategic level for all stakeholders
  • Analyse and interpret management information to support managers in performance management and sickness absence.  
  • Full management of the payroll process and liase with the external payroll providers on a monthly basis to ensure a streamlined and effective payroll process. 
  • Collaborating with managers in the identification of training needs, particularly in relation to management development, and to deliver training courses and briefing sessions including recruitment and selection, performance management, capability, sickness absence and other HR related topics as required.  
  • Advise and support managers in the conduct of investigations including discipline, grievance, bullying and harassment.  I specialise in Employee Relations and confidently advise at all stages of the disciplinary process. 
  • Advise on redeployment, ill-health, retirement or termination whilst being mindful of employment legislation and the organisation’s policies.  
  • Write, develop and revise employment policies to ensure the organisation has appropriate policies and procedures that reflect current employment law and good practice.  
  • Ensuring that the HR department champions a responsive, high quality recruitment service to managers from vacancy notification to appointment.  
  • Provide professional recruitment advice to managers to ensure managers are able to fill vacancies in an efficient manner and ensure adherence to the recruitment policy and good recruitment practice.  
  • Implementation and management of HR systems and e-learning platforms.
  • Ambassador for Diversity and Inclusion and ensure this is promoted in our everyday working as an organisation.
  • Management of the Apprenticeship Levy and am the mentor for all apprentices within the organisation liasing with apprenticeship providers regularly to update on employee progress and action plan.
  • Qualified mental health first aider.

Education

CIPD Level 7 in Human Resource Management qualified (Postgraduate)

Law (LLB Hons) degree from Cardiff University (Undergraduate degree)
