Reem Hassan

I am currently a Dental Core Trainee (DCT2) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I previously completed my DCT1 in Oral Surgery, where I developed a strong passion for the specialty and confirmed my long-term career goal of pursuing a future in Oral Surgery.

I am highly motivated to continue developing my clinical and surgical skills, with a particular interest in dentoalveolar surgery and the management of surgical patients. I place great importance on clear communication, patient reassurance, and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

I am committed to continuous learning, reflective practice, and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams, and I am keen to further progress my training and experience within the profession

I am confident in carrying out a range of minor oral surgery procedures, including the management and extraction of impacted wisdom teeth. I have experience in performing soft tissue procedures such as oral biopsies and work well with anxious patients, offering IV sedation where appropriate to ensure patient comfort and safety. I am keen to continue developing my surgical skills while maintaining excellent standards of patient care and communication.

I graduated with a BDS from Queen’s University Belfast in 2023, achieving a distinction. I have since completed the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS), currently hold a valid Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification, and am trained in IV sedation, reflecting my commitment to maintaining high clinical and professional standards.
