About Roy Tuxford:

I have over 20 years experience deploying Telecoms Systems and Contact Centre Solutions mainly around the Avaya Portfolio, but also including other manufacturer SBC's and equipment.  Also excellent knowledge and understanding of IP technology, windows and linux systems.

Experience

As a Lead Deployment engineer, I work with internal and external customers on a daily basis.  My duties comprise of the deployment and configuration of Avaya Telephony platforms and Ribbon Edge SBC’s.  I am also involved within the design and development of custom telephony solutions.  I have strong programming and troubleshooting qualities and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Another expectation of my role within the Projects Team is to act as an escalation point. Offering support and advise to the wider team and in turn engaging with more complex issues and technologies that are being delivered. 

I have a Full Clean Driving License

I am Security and BPSS Cleared

Key Attributes:

  • Provide input to technical designs provided by other ITS technology groups – a level of “cross-functional” technical knowledge. 
  • Provide direct, credible and authoritative interaction with colleagues and customers alike. 
  • Act as a SME and mentor to more junior Engineering staff.
  • Experienced in UC for Avaya
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems
  • PSTN Knowledge ISDN & Analogue
  • Experienced in SIP delivery for both public and private connections
  • IP Security, Certification and Authentication methods
  • Able to investigate and troubleshoot issues and determine the best solution
  • Technical appraisals of sales proposals
  • Deal with suppliers / manufacturers on technical related issues
  • Updating and maintaining Site Documentation
