Simran Sharma

I am a project manager with over four years of experience in IT, specialising in customer relationship management (CRM). I am currently Strategy Consultant at the British Council, where I am revamping the current model of the only British Council School in the world in Spain, focusing on student recruitment and retention, school location, business models, and B2B relationships.

I worked at Salesforce in the Program/Project management team, managing end-to-end delivery for various customers across different industries. I also hold multiple Salesforce certifications, demonstrating my proficiency and expertise in CRM. Additionally, I have a solid educational background a Bachelor's degree with Majors in Biotechnology and Minors in Computer Science and several internships in research and development at Arizona State University, USA, Mount Carmel College, and ITC Limited.

I am passionate about leadership and digital innovation, and I constantly challenge myself to learn new skills and improve existing ones. I am pursuing an MBA degree at Lancaster University Management School, where I have the opportunity to network and learn from diverse and experienced business professionals, as well as to apply my knowledge and skills to real-world projects and cases. My goal is to create a perfect amalgam of strategic leadership and digital innovation and to be an impactful change-maker in the field of business.

I have 4+ years of experience in project management. Having worked in a client-facing role at Salesforce, I have worked very closely with stakeholders at all levels both within my organisation and within the customer organisation. As a project manager, I have negotiated various change requests that arise from add-on scope and changes in the initial agreed scope during the course of the project. I've also been involved in the pre-sales scope negotiation and business requirements gathering workshops for the customers whom I've led salesforce implementations for.

In addition to my professional experience, I am currently pursuing my MBA which has helped me gain strong business acumen, strategic decision-making, and financial management skills. I’ve had global exposure which includes Asia Pacific, the United States as well and the United Kingdom through my most recent engagements working as a strategy consultant for The Config Team (specializing in SAP supply chain solutions) and The British Council.
