During the first two years of my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Aberdeen, I have focused on building a strong foundation for independent research. This has involved conducting an in-depth review of existing literature, identifying knowledge gaps, and refining my research questions. I developed a detailed research proposal, outlining clear objectives, methodologies, and timelines to guide my work. My research requires advanced technical proficiency, including the use of programming languages like Python, R, and Java, alongside data analysis and visualisation tools. I have designed and executed initial experiments, collected and processed data, and maintained meticulous documentation throughout. Regular engagement with academic supervisors and stakeholders, including industry partners, has been a cornerstone of my work, allowing me to communicate findings effectively and incorporate feedback. 

Prior to my PhD, I completed a four-year Bachelors of Science with First-Class Honours in Computer Science at Edinburgh Napier University. This comprehensive programme provided a robust understanding of computing fundamentals and specialised areas such as software development, data science, and systems design. The first two years emphasised programming, mathematics for computing, algorithms, and software engineering practices. In my third year, I undertook real-world projects with external clients, applying Agile methodologies and advancing my skills in artificial intelligence and data analysis. My final year centred on specialisation in NP-Hard problems and the applicability of evolutionary computation to such problems which culminated in an honours project that integrated highly-specific technical knowledge with recently-learned research skills.
