I possess a strong sense of self-motivation, organized, flexible and confident in my abilities to surpass expectations and perform to the best of my abilities. I have ability to work on my own with or without supervision.

To be precise, my enthusiasm to work as a healthcare started from home where i had cared for my aged grandparents some time ago and I see it fascinating and i am taking it up to pursue my career in the health sector as Working in the Mental Health facilities as healthcare assistant. Before and during my working as HCA, i have had different training to development myself in acquiring the skill.

I currently work with A Mental Healthy Hospital. I either work in adult or CAMHS as Healthcare Assistant (HCA). As part of daily duties, I attend handover meetings, take note of the patients’ mental health status and risk level. Keep close observation of patients according to their risk levels and care plans.

I always ensure I work in a person-centered way. I support patients in ensuring their rooms are tidy and laundries are done. I prepare meals and snack for patients and ensure that they follow their food and fluid intake as planned and make sure that I documents it accordingly. As part of my learning and development in my HCA role on several occasions I have been allocated to work as the ward team leader (ward security). In this role, I prepare task allocation for all HCAs on duties using Microsoft Excel; I ensure all windows, and entry and exit doors are in good condition; storage rooms are well secured.  While carry assigned duty as the ward security I closely monitor patients who receives personal items from the storage room to ensure safety. If notice anything of concern while completing security on the ward, I ensure that I follow organization procedure and report my concerns accordingly.  I also used my computer skill as the ward security to update daily carenotes.  I engage in infection control and ensure hygiene environment. I coordinated wards during fire drills and Mayday drills. My good communication skills have helped me in verbal de-escalation of patients and applied my PMVA skills during physical de-escalation.  I report any incidence IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve Safety) that occur within the wards. I support with checking-in newly admitted patients, I do this by completing property checks and documentations, body checks and maps as well as vital signs for both old and new patients.

I am a graduate of University of Benin, Nigeria; Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where i obtained my first degree in Statistic with Computer Science and second degree in Master in Business Administration (MBA) respectively as I await my final result at the University of Hertfordshire where I studied Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics. My wide range of knowledge from various field and hobbies gives me the leverage to effectively engage in meaningful conversations with both young and old people while considering compassion and empathy, and interpersonal skills, knowledge of laws, regulation, and ethics.
