About Tammy Mckillop:
highly trained, dedicated Domestic Abuse Practitioner with extensive knowledge and expertise of domestic abuse with over fifteen years’ experience. I have worked in a variety of roles within this field and at differing levels from direct victim support through to implementing projects that will improve the response and outcome for those who are victims/ survivors. I have always been passionate to work in proactive way to make a difference to victims and children of domestic abuse.
I have a wide expertise of safeguarding, training, multi-agency working, children and adult’s social care, DA Cordinator, MARAC , MAPPA Coordination and managing a team. My commitment is to proactive work to make a fundamental difference to our victims, families and children. I am a confident trainer delivering bespoke training programmes helping to raise the focus of domestic abuse within the dynamics of a challenging demographic and utilise forward thinking to protect our future generations. I have direct management experience and I am both approachable and reflective within my style.
Impassioned to continue to work in the field of proactive work – previous roles delivering and launched Operation Encompass, worked in Health Care coordinating staff response to patients and upskilling to recognise abuse. Working with stakeholders and agencies to provide a greater response, with Courts and Probation plus raising the profile of domestic abuse within MAPPA. Highlighting the work of the DA Bill 2021 and ensuring this vision remains at the heart of what we do and ensure that evidence and examples are shared to achieve best practise.
Experience
Buckinghamshire Domestic Abuse Coordinator
Role is working for the NHS Trust to help health care practitioners recognise the signs for domestic abuse, pathways to support, risk assessing. Networking with agencies to identify gaps in services for Buckinghamshire and support Police - MARAC, Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Panels and the Drive Programme.
MAPPA Coordinator (Deputy)
The Probation Service - Kidlington, Oxford. May 2023 to July 2024
MAPPA Co-ordination aims to ensure that multi-agency risk management is focussed on the right people in a timely and efficient manner. It helps ensure the delivery of robust and defensible plans, which address known indicators of serious harm to others.
A management role undertaken on behalf of the local SMB within a multi- disciplinary team. Overseeing and coordinating high risk offenders to reduce the risk to Public Protection. Managing a team with regular supervision, guidance and support including reflective practise.
MARAC Coordinator
Luton Borough Council / Victim Support - Luton. August 2018 to August 2022
Responsible for the day to day operational running of the weekly MARAC regarding High Risk Victims of Domestic Abuse. Ensuring the weekly MARAC has appropriate high risk referrals and that cases are heard within a 10 -14 day operating window – to provide multi agency response around safeguarding. To ensure the MARAC principles are adhered too. To provide case overview of high risks and ensure administration around the MARAC from assignment, meeting, minutes and actions and delivered in accordance with the agreed deadlines.

Providing support, advice and guidance to the Early Help Process supporting lead professionals with Team around the Family as needed. Upskilling agencies on the EHA processes. Building links and bridges with support agencies. Working closely with Social Care colleagues and supporting step up / step down as required. Working in conjunction with Bedfordshire Police and Children’s Social Services, Access and Referral Hub and Early Help teams to share incidents of DA Police reports and support outcomes from the MASH that sit within Early Help.
