Estimator

Up to £40,000

Gloucester
We are working with a hugely successful engineering company, that is going through a period of sustainable growth. They are looking for a full-time Engineering Estimator to join them on a permanent basis.


As the Engineering Estimator you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing technical engineering information, that is used to prepare quotes.

You will ideally be an experienced Estimator, have on-the-job engineering experience, or be anengineering graduate.


Responsibilities:


  • Receive quotation requests from customers
  • Review engineering data and make recommendations for quotations, based on the availability of parts and equipment
  • Mange obsolescence issues and advise on time scales for production
  • Work closely with the engineering team, ensuring compliance with industry standards

Skills/ Experience:


  • Background in a similar technical support role, gained within a manufacturing, engineering, or equivalent environment
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Understanding and experience of material takeoffs
  • Highly analytical, and excellent problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
