My client is a leading voluntary organisation, that improves and provides support to the wider public. They are currently seeking an Administrator to join their team.
This is a Part-time, Temporary until March 2023 (possible extension)

Monday - Friday 9.30am-5.30pm

With an hourly rate £10.50 per hour


Job Purpose:

As Administrator you will be providing general administrative support and assist with day-to-day office operations.


Essential Criteria:


  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in an administration role
  • Demonstrable experience of using a range of computer software including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and database packages as well as Access
  • GCSE English and Math's at Grade C or above, or equivalent
  • An understanding of/empathy with the voluntary sector
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide telephone and reception arrangements, which are welcoming to children, young people, professionals, and visitors
  • Assist in the supervision of children and young people in the office reception area and at agency events
  • Handle all relevant correspondence and enquiries
  • Type letters, memoranda, reports, etc using Microsoft Word; and, as required, to prepare presentations, questionnaires and tables using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Coordinate the preparation and dissemination of information, reports, presentations, etc.
  • Assist in the collection and recording of programme evaluation information and data
  • Maintain the information and filing system
  • Assist staff teams with the maintenance of efficient recording systems
  • Assist the staff teams with efficient administration
  • Arrange meetings for visitors and external visits and prepare all necessary facilities and associated papers
  • Assist in the coordination of events
  • Assist in the maintenance of agency asset register and disposal record
  • Assist with computer maintenance issues where appropriate
  • Assist with all aspects of the day to day running of the central office
  • To attend and participate in staff meetings and other relevant meetings as appropriate
  • To attend training courses as appropriate
  • To contribute to the activities, promotion, and development of the business
  • Any other duties as required
