    Position summary:


    You will be part of a widespread and large team of electricians providing preventative and corrective site maintenance across the O&M portfolio.

    You will mainly be responsible in assisting with the energy storage sites but will also be required to assist the wider team with general site maintenance.

    You will have knowledge of DC, AC, communications, and circuit protection and will have strong fault-finding skills. All electrical work must be carried out in accordance with industry standards and good Health and Safety practices.


    Responsibilities:


    Point of contact for battery site issuesTo gain your LV AP02 approvalTo gain HV AP02 approval – (£2000 supplement payment)Take issues of large-scale site issues / obtain quotesTo offer onsite assistance to other Technicians.

    To offer onsite / remote training.
    To spread their knowledge and experience to the Team.

    You will work to a planned maintenance scheduleYou will respond in a timely manner to breakdownsDiagnose faults and Inspect work in progress and upon completionRepair equipment when necessary and Inspect work for satisfactory performance.

    Review suitable stocks of supplies and equipment and request specialist components, fixtures or fittings as requiredAdvise manager on required stock levels and costEnsure compliance with PSH health and safety policyRecommend improvements and modificationsInvestigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints.

    Build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders including the publicDocument work undertaken / daily activities and provide a daily activity reportRecognise issues and assess risks and review any findings with managementParticipate in internal and external meetings as requestedIdentify and meet personal job-related training and development as required.

    Support the wider electrical team with other duties.

    Key Skills:
    Must hold 18th Edition Electrical Regulations qualificationSenior Authorised Person or Approved Authorised Person preferred but not essential.

    (training can be provided)Experience of working with central inverter manufacturers would be preferable but not essentialExperience of working on rooftop solar sites would be preferable (training will be provided)Must have been in a similar role for a minimum for 2 years with management responsibilitiesWorked on large scale solar projectsMust have a comprehensive knowledge of DC Electrical systemsYou must be able to understand site drawings and SLDs.

    Have prior experience with energy storage systems (preferrable but not essential).Must be able to work under pressure and deal with emergency situationsMust have strong IT skillsBe able to prioritise and manage a busy scheduleMust be hardworking, reliable, and flexibleMust be able to work well as part of a teamMust have strong communication skillsPossess good attention to detail.
