    Position summary:

    You will be part of a widespread and large team of electricians providing preventative and corrective site maintenance across the O&M portfolio.

    You will mainly be responsible in assisting with the energy storage sites but will also be required to assist the wider team with general site maintenance.

    You will have knowledge of DC, AC, communications, and circuit protection and will have strong fault-finding skills.

    All electrical work must be carried out in accordance with industry standards and good Health and Safety practices.

    Responsibilities:

    • Point of contact for battery site issues
    • To gain your LV AP02 approval
    • To gain HV AP02 approval – (£2000 supplement payment)
    • Take issues of large-scale site issues / obtain quotes
    • To offer onsite assistance to other Technicians.
    • To offer onsite / remote training.
    • To spread their knowledge and experience to the Team.
    • You will work to a planned maintenance schedule
    • You will respond in a timely manner to breakdowns
    • Diagnose faults and Inspect work in progress and upon completion
    • Repair equipment when necessary and Inspect work for satisfactory performance.
    • Review suitable stocks of supplies and equipment and request specialist components, fixtures or fittings as required
    • Advise manager on required stock levels and cost
    • Ensure compliance with PSH health and safety policy
    • Recommend improvements and modifications
    • Investigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints.
    • Build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders including the public
    • Document work undertaken / daily activities and provide a daily activity report
    • Recognise issues and assess risks and review any findings with management
    • Participate in internal and external meetings as requested
    • Identify and meet personal job-related training and development as required.
    • Support the wider electrical team with other duties.

    • safe working procedures when
    • storing, using or transporting any COSHH controlled items
    • any medical problems experienced when undertaking any work functions to the Line manager and Health and Safety Team, adhering to Occupational Health Surveillance requirements
    • with any investigations or accident reports where necessary
    • a good standard of housekeeping throughout their areas of work
    • that work equipment is only used for its intended purpose and that they have been trained to use it
    • and sharing ideas for H&S improvement throughout the business
    • and following our Golden Rules
    • Ensure the work equipment is free from obvious defects – and that it remains so during its working life

    Key Skills:

    • Must hold 18th Edition Electrical Regulations qualification
    • Senior Authorised Person or Approved Authorised Person preferred but not essential. (training can be provided)
    • Experience of working with central inverter manufacturers would be preferable but not essential
    • Experience of working on rooftop solar sites would be preferable (training will be provided)
    • Must have been in a similar role for a minimum for 2 years with management responsibilities
    • Worked on large scale solar projects
    • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of DC Electrical systems
    • You must be able to understand site drawings and SLDs.
    • Have prior experience with energy storage systems (preferrable but not essential).
    • Must be able to work under pressure and deal with emergency situations
    • Must have strong IT skills
    • Be able to prioritise and manage a busy schedule
    • Must be hardworking, reliable, and flexible
    • Must be able to work well as part of a team
    • Must have strong communication skills
    • Possess good attention to detail.
    • Must be flexible with travel when required to attend training on sites in England
