    Description

    With recent investment from venture capitalists, this is a fantastic opportunity to join when they are at the cusp of something very exciting with realistic growth plans.

    As the Financial Planning Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making processes by providing insightful financial analysis, forecasting and planning.

    You will also act as a key Business Partner with regular liaison at high level including the CEO, Finance Director and Project Managers.

    They offer a truly flexible and hybrid approach, where you will be based at their office in the Centre of York at least twice per week in a non-corporate and sociable environment.


    Financial Analysis :
    Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support business decisions, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modelling. / Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. / Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to drive business performance.

    ~ Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management on variances and trends.

    ~ Financial Reporting :
    Prepare and distribute accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly/quarterly management reports, budget vs. actual analysis, and ad-hoc reports as needed. / Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in financial reporting. / Work with other members of the finance team to deliver financial reporting as necessary.

    ~ Business Partnering :
    Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making. / Work closely with business leaders to develop financial reporting and business cases for new initiatives or investments.

    ~ Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency. / Recommend and implement improvements to financial planning and analysis tools, systems, and methodologies.

    Qualified CIMA/ACMA/ACA/ACCA.

    (Non-qualified or Finalists may also be considered if you possess suitable experience and/or a relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics).

    Experience in financial analysis, preferably in a similarly complex organisation.
    Project finance skills will prove hugely advantageous.
    Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial systems and Excel.
    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex financial information into clear and actionable insights.
    Experience with financial planning software and reporting systems (preferably Power BI or Hyperion) will prove useful .
    A starting salary of between £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
    ~ Annual Bonus.
    ~ 25 days annual leave (plus public holidays), increasing with length of service.
    ~ A truly hybrid approach, as long as youre able to attend the York office at least twice per week.
