JOB PURPOSE


In the new Compass Organisation, delivery of the Business Units (BU) agenda to the customer remains one of the critical "one Unilever" parts of the operating framework.

The UK & Ireland (UK&I) Customer Development (CD) and Customer Operations (CO) teams are the driving force of a €2.2bn business, delivering across all five BUs.

As the HR partner to the Customer Operations team, you'll be responsible for the careers and performance of over 100 people, and landing the new ways of working inherent in the Compass model, as well as continuing the journey as the pioneering iOps market.


Integrated Operations (iOps) is a global Unilever programme, focused on creating a single focused team who deliver great customer service end to end.

This includes Customer Service, Logistics and Integrated planning teams, based in the UK & Ireland, and who work with our partner Genpact in Poland and India.

This programme is still in progress, landing more technology solutions over the next 18 months, and bedding in the new ways of working and new organisation structure is still a work in progress.


Finance teams in the UK & I are a broad community, covering global roles in all the key areas of finance expertise in the Corporate Centre, Business Partners to both Business Groups and European Business Units, and National Finance.

Working closely with both CD and CO, the National finance team are accountable for all fiduciary and legal reporting of Unilever's performance in UK & I, for risk management and controls, and for business partnering the CD teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES- You will be the HRBP to the UKI Head of Customer Operations (who also has responsibility for East Europe, Italy and Australia/ New Zealand).- Your responsibility will be to ensure the UK & I CO leadership team (COLT) work well and lead their teams successfully.- You will be their eyes and ears on the ground leading their team, and act as a strong coach and trusted advisor.- You'll be an integral part of the UK COLT, a team responsible for over 100 talents - developing them as leaders, creating a bold and fearless team dynamic, and landing key people initiatives in talent management, career development, diversity & inclusion, and functional/ leadership capability.- Your success will be their success in developing great customer relationships and delivering to challenging customer service metrics - both internal and customer set.- Recognition will come through the Advantage Group Survey (AGS) and individual customer awards, as well as recognition of great partnering with both Genpact and the front line CD teams.- You will lead the ongoing iOps programme from a people perspective, completing the transfer of responsibilities to Genpact, and embedding great ways of working between all the teams.- On top of this, creating a single customer ops team from 3 separate teams will be both an organisation and cultural challenge.- As part of your responsibility you will identify the right culture and talent interventions to drive the team from good to great- You will also be the HRBP of the Head of Country finance in managing the overall people agenda for finance talent, capability, culture and organisation.

This role is currently an integrated role with the Head of Finance for Personal Care Europe/ ANZ.

To be clear, your role is to partner the strategic people agenda for all finance roles based in the UK&I - specifically focused on the longer term elements, rather than transactional support.

You will also be the key HR partner for the UKI Head of Country Finance Controller in developing talent, capability and performance within the National Finance team, and building their ways of working within the new Compass Organisation


ALL ABOUT YOU- HR Business Partnering - ideally in a commercial or marketing facing role- Change Management - both people & org change, and culture change- Working in a UK business culture- Leadership team and Leadership coaching- Data analysis, visualization and decision making- Business Acumen - working so closely with the customer facing end of our business, it's critical you are fluent with the P&L of Unilever, and particularly the impact of customer operations on customer profitability.

It would be ideal if you are also fluent in digital marketing & sales, and data driven decision making- People Leadership - you will know how to identify and nurture talent - both within HR and the business, you'll be able to give tough performance feedback, but also great developmental tasks and assignments.- Performance coaching - you will have delivered team and personal feedback in a way that grows individuals and helps the business perform better.

You can use diagnostic tools and experience/ intuition to identify what is needed in multiple situations and scenarios, and work with your own team and expertise from within and outside Unilever to devlier the right in
