Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Women and Children's Division for a neonatal practitioner to join the Divisional Continuous Learning and Improvement Team on a permanent basis.
This role will support routine Divisional Governance requirements and help us to achieve evolving priorities of the Division and national safety agenda.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient safety and continuous quality improvement for the role.Southmead Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has 34 cots, comprising of 8 ITU, 8 HDU, 18 SC and an additional 10 cots on Transitional Care.
We are a well established Level 3 unit and tertiary referral centre, providing a centre of excellence for babies born as premature as 22 weeks gestation.

Education/Training/QualificationsEducated to degree level or equivalent in a health-related subject
Current NMC Registration
Evidence of further professional and/or development
Work Experience
Experience at band 6 in neonatal clinical practice
Knowledge of research, Quality Improvement (QI) methodology and audit
Ability to understand the facts through gathering of evidence and building evidence-based narrative
Evidence of successful change management such as the implementation of a change in practice in response to national or local guidance or the planning and implementation of change in response to user comments/needs
Experience of report writing and/or producing professional documents
Ability to make safety recommendations based on the evidence, analysis and findings
Personal Qualities/Special Circumstances
Demonstrates compassionate leadership qualities
