FACILITIES AND SAFETY SUPPORT COORDINATOR
This is an exciting opportunity for a Facilities and Safety Support Coordinator to join a globally recognised London university on a temporary basis


This role supports the Facilities and Services Team Manager to deliver excellent customer support to staff and students in all buildings across the university campuses.

This role requires the person to be mobile on a daily basis, actively checking all university spaces and present in the space to deal with any queries or issues.


FACILITIES AND SAFETY SUPPORT COORDINATOR ROLE:

  • Being responsible for maintaining Business School storage rooms across campus, ensuring stock levels are monitored and staff informed when space is limited
  • Arranging for unwanted items in storage to be removed and recycled
  • Coordinating office moves and setups with some heavy lifting work as required
  • Being responsible for using Visio to update floor plans and measure and create drawings for new areas as requested
  • Accountable for restocking stationery supplies in all teaching rooms as required on a daily basis
  • Checking the layout in all breakout and communal spaces daily and rearranging furniture back to its original specification
  • Being responsible for maintaining furniture in Discussion Rooms and Vaults
  • Inspecting all breakout rooms, computer rooms and teaching rooms on a regular basis, ensuring everything is clean, tidy and in good working order and where necessary reporting issues to the Estates and ICT helpdesks
  • Maintaining all wall mounted and bottled hand sanitiser units near breakout rooms through regular daily checks and top ups
  • Reviewing all signage daily and replace where necessary
  • Checking all staff areas, including meeting rooms and kitchens on a rolling weekly basis, ensuring everything is clean, tidy and in good working order
  • Monthly meetings with the Strategic Projects, Planning and Safety Manager to provide feedback and suggestions regarding Health and Safety across the Business School
  • Completing manual handling and ladder training in College to ensure the right skills are attained to complete all areas of the role
  • Sorting and distributing all incoming mail for staff and visitors

FACILITIES AND SAFETY SUPPORT COORDINATOR ESSENTIALS:

  • 12 month of facilities experience
  • Higher education experience ideal
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
