Description

ShareAction

We are at a pivotal moment: the climate and biodiversity crises are deepening, and inequalities are even more marked in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The global investment system has an oversized impact on many of these global challenges. We want to make sure that impact is positive. At ShareAction we work with investors, policymakers, and individuals to unleash the positive potential of the investment system. We aim to build a world where our financial system serves our planet and its people.

Team
ShareAction's People Team plays a pivotal role in driving us towards achieving our mission.

You'll be joining a team at the heart of everything we do, supporting the organisation to grow and develop, while harnessing its internal culture, and ensuring we live up to our values.

You'll help recruit new, passionate team members, and assist existing staff, supporting them to develop, and implementing the policies and procedures that determine the way we work.

Position:

What you'll do

  • Support hiring managers with creating business cases for new roles to be submitted to the HR and Remuneration Committee and the People Team.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers in the design of roles, job descriptions and person specifications.
  • Create and maintain a pool of previous ShareAction employees to identify potential future returners.
  • Produce regular reports and extract key data to inform senior management on cost to hire, diversity and inclusion, and other key metrics.
  • Manage and report on the recruitment pipeline.
  • Network with universities to develop relationships and be the main representative at job fairs to promote ShareAction.
  • Collaborate with the Senior HR Officer to develop and deliver the full 360 onboarding process for new starters.
  • Provide coaching and training to managers as agreed with the Head of People.
  • Ensure that recruitment practices are inclusive, equitable and accessible.
  • Continually evaluate and update processes to maximise efficiency and success to deliver an excellent recruitment experience.
  • Keep up to date with industry practice, a wide understanding of the job market/hiring landscape and any other changes to the area of work, ensuring ShareAction is compliant with employment law regarding recruitment.
  • Providing HR support to the People Team on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements:

What you'll bring to the team

  • Experience of working with inhouse recruitment
  • Success in proactive search and sourcing activity and targeted advertising and promotion, including roles with more niche skills, to at least 'head of' level roles.
  • Experience of utilising social media and other platforms to optimise recruitment drives.
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, internally and externally.
  • Developing recruitment management information that informs decision making.
  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of an organisation's business and of the knowledge, skills and experience it will need to develop to deliver.
  • A good understanding of 'employer brand' and the role in recruitment.
  • Basic knowledge of data protection regulations / GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

It would also be great - but not essential - if you have:

  • Developed approaches, systems and tools that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment and which are reflected in our hiring.
  • Experience of successfully delivering senior level recruitment exercises.
  • Experience of the 'In Recruiting' module of the HR System (Cezanne; training will be provided).
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office 365, particularly SharePoint;
  • Experience of working with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems, ideally Salesforce

What we will do for you

  • We will support you in any training you require for our systems, we don't expect you to have used any of them before. We will also provide you with other development opportunities not relating to our systems or even HR.
  • Our work is very varied, and you will have opportunities to have impact on different People Team projects.
  • We have regular team meetings where space for ideas is encouraged, and team support provided.
